Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I rarely ever use lip liner because my favorite matte lipsticks don’t bleed on me. I do use one with red lipstick, though. And when I do use a lip liner, it must blend in perfectly with the lipstick because I don’t like when the line shows.

Absolutely a necessity for me, for a number of reasons! First of all, it makes sure that I have an even lip line and prevents bleeding. I have a lot of lipsticks that like to migrate, and lipliner helps set the boundaries and means I don’t need to put lipstick right on the edge of my lip sometimes. Also, I like the look of a slightly darker lipliner than my lipstick. Not all the time! But enough that it’s fun for emphasis every now and again.

Almost always a necessity unless I’m wearing a full coverage, highly pigmented lipstick! As I have lip ridges that extend beyond the vermilion in a rather awkward way, plus the right side of my lips is NOTICEABLY fuller than the left side, I need a liner to get a more even and “normal” appearing mouth! It used to be. At least before a bad TIA 16 years back that laid me up in the hospital for 4 days.
