Dior Rosy Glow Blush Swatches
Dior Rosy Glow Blush is a reformulated version of the Backstage blush that used to only come in a couple of shades. The formula now spans across six shades, but it might be one of the worst blush formulas I’ve encountered in recent memory. Here are swatches anyway – all swatches required scraping off layers of product to be able to transfer enough to visibly show ON my arm. They apply terribly to decently but are dry, thin, and very prone to hard panning after just a couple of uses.
Oh, wow! I known there’s been a lot of hype about Dior finally releasing shades of this blush that are brown skin-friendly, given the massive popularity of the pink one. It sounds like they also reformulated, though?? Never heard those complaints about the formula for the original pink shade 🙁
Thanks for this. I’m glad I waited to purchase since they are dry.
So far, the ONLY shade that I’ve been hearing anything somewhat positive about has been Cherry. Dior needs to take a step backwards to before this whole stupid “clean” beauty reformulation!!! We didn’t need it. And I don’t think anyone asked for it, either!
I hope they haven’t “reformulated” this for the worse… I’ve been using the Rosy Glow Awakening Blush since the days when there was only one colour (a “universal” pink) and it was packaged with a brush and it’s probably my all time most perfect, favourite blush. So if they’ve messed with it, I’ll be seriously furious. I do like the Berry shade a lot though it might just be a bit too much, too dark, too pigmented but I’ll be eager to see Christine’s reviews.
They’re worse. Terrible. Awful. No thank you!
Arrrrggghhhh! No!!!!! I should have read your comments above but I thought this was just a quick look so didn’t slow down enough to read. Oh my – in this rush for “clean” (whatever THAT means), so many companies are shooting themselves in the foot…and the neck. So many great products being totally destroyed in these “reformulations”. I think I’ll just use my “dirty” products very judiciously and hope they last.. At $55 here, I can probably do better with a blush from Milani or Essence – in all seriousness!
What a shame about the reformulation. I know people loved the originals.
I had heard they apply better than they swatch. It is crazy they reformulated something that is so loved and has been viral for a long time. Why do companies do this?
What a shame they are so horrible Christine – another example of a HE brand delivering something that is usually associated with a DS version. What a waste of money!
PS Christine – can you send them back and get a refund?
I could, but I buy to review, not really to enjoy, lol!
Oh no Dior, what are you doing? Who let this out into the world?
Thank you for saying it out loud, after all the raving all over the internet I went and tried it and I couldn’t get the hype. It was quite chalky and they didn’t apply well. Made no sense to me.
I understand Dior has been doing a lot of reformulations. Truly sad. They also reformulated the lip glows and are not nearly as nice as the old formula. On the upside, all these reformulations has kept my super low buy in check and has me rediscovering and decluttering my stash.
OUCH!
Sorry for screaming, but I just had to.
They looked so nice, in the pan. I really like Pink but I’m not going to buy it for the simple reason that it just cost so much.
Does anyone know if Dior are going “clean”?
Oh dear. Just received the Rosewood and sent IT Back unopened After Reading your First impressions…should have waited for your full review to be Up.
I have Pink in the old formula and absolutely love it so I was nervous abt this reformulation. I decided to buy Berry and while it doesn’t swatch well, it applies and builds nicely. That said, Dior’s Great Reformulation is infuriating as every reformulated product I’ve tried has been bad; my HG Forever concealer, Rouge blushes and quint eyeshadow palettes have all been ruined just so Dior can claim they’re “clean”. The Forever Couture Luminizers are no longer on their site so I’m sure they’re also being destroyed and I’m just waiting for my beloved Diorshow mascara to changed for the worse.
Thank you so much for this review!! I’d been eyeing these…
Sad swatches for me (with a tad except for Cherry)! They look like they’re dry and a little splotchy. And at the price (which I didn’t see, but know to be high), I don’t need to even consider them.
