Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
Go-to foundation/concealer for summer? I don’t wear foundation, particularly in summer so a tinted sunscreen – Australian Gold – is my summer skin “colour”; Concealer – Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer (not sure if it’s been renamed, reformulated or discontinued…)
Favorite face primer? Becca Backlight Priming Filter (I’m glad I have a backup or two as Becca is no longer around….story of my makeup wearing life!)
Best setting powder? Even though I don’t usually wear foundation, I do like setting powders and have LOT of them; I think my favourite are Hourglass Veil Setting powder (pains me to say it, as I have a big grudge against Hourglass) and Becca Pink Haze Softlight Blurring Powder (the tub is SO big I don’t think I’ll ever run out). I also often use Hourglass Ambient LIght Powder in Ethereal Light to set my under eye concealer and my whole face (this is a product I purchased BEFORE developing my grudge). I’ve several other colourless or translucent powders (loose and pressed) that I like from NARS, Shiseido, MUFE, MAC, Bourjois (their Poudre de Riz, now also discontinued, is so lovely) and Coty and I love them all!

Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green eyes, brown hair.

Go-to foundation/concealer for summer? I’ve been using the Paula’s Choice Super Light Daily Wrinkle Defense Moisturizer/Sunscreen in place of foundation, with the Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Concealer. The PC sunscreen provides very light coverage, but a more matte and perfecting finish and the concealer stays in place well over my base and provides enough coverage to cover my redness and dark circles. It’s a lovely combo.

Favorite face primer? A combo of Fervor Prebiotic Drops, Colourpop Strawberry Face Milk, and Vichy Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Face Serum.

Best setting powder? I don’t use setting powder; I just don’t like the way it looks on me.

Best setting powder? MAC Blot Powder to set my concealer and Anastasia Beverly Hills Loose Powder to set the rest of my face.

Favorite face primer? Milk Hydrogrip

Your skin tone/coloring: Above, dark brown hair, grey-green eyes.
Go-to foundation/concealer for summer? MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation, my most used foundation any time of the year.
Favorite face primer? Benefit Porefessional, I have lots of large pores, far to often I seem to have light dots on the face. Very annoying I think.
Best setting powder? I have many, right now I’m using Coty Airspun, I was reminded of RCMA No Colour, Powder just now when reading Rachels post, I have it somewhere, I need to go through some boxes to find it.
I often use Hourglass Ethereal Light under my eyes.
